“You Just Can’t Make This Shit Up;
Who, What & How The Fuck Have I Survived The Unthinkable!”

“Never confuse being loved with being rescued. The right people will stand beside you not above you; and when someone treats your struggle like a burden, walk away as soon as you are able.”
-Leah Campbell
Because of my condition, and the vulnerabilities associated with it, after all that’s happened, I believe he only loved being seen as the kind of man who could love someone vulnerable, with a disability, and being my savior/hero. When it no longer benefited him, he stopped performing and abandoned me in the most vile and cruel way.
The “love bombing” was real, and now makes perfect sense.
“One of the most dangerous masks a covert narcissist can wear is that of fake generosity. They’re the ones who can buy you the car, the house, or the expensive vacation.
To the outside world, that makes them look like the perfect partner. But you know the truth: that gift is not a gesture of love; it’s a muzzle. Every single thing they give you comes with a heavy price tag, and the currency is your silence.
They effectively deprive you of your right to complain by using their extreme generosity to trick everyone into believing they are amazing. Given how much they give you, how could they possibly be abusive?
It creates a prison where speaking up makes you appear like the unappreciative villain. The truth is that narcissists use gifts as a control mechanism. These are deliberate insults wrapped in gold that are meant to undermine your identity and diminish your value; they ARE NOT merely gifts.”
